We are friends who call ourselves "Kinder Moms". We first met when our kids were in kindergarten, and now our children are finishing their freshman year in college. One of the moms was the teacher for our kids in kindergarten, and they loved her. Throughout the years, we have watched each other's kids grow up to become amazing young adults.
We have shared many moments together, including laughter, and tears, holding hands through illness, loss, divorce, and celebrated successes and re-marriages. We often gather at each other's homes to eat, drink, and laugh a lot. Although we have made many plans over the years, family life has caused us to cancel many of them. However, we never get upset, blame, or hold grudges against one another. We always support each other no matter what.
Tonight, we will meet at the beach at 7 pm, each with an adult beverage in hand, to watch the sunset together. We will end the day by spending the evening with our feet in the sand and most likely laughing.
Note: Someone always volunteers to be the designated driver, so all can enjoy safely!
